1. Room Rates
– Room rates are quoted per night in USD or BZD
– Subject to Belize Tourism Board (BTB) Tax: 9%
– Subject to General Sales Tax (GST): 12.5%
2. Mandatory Cleaning Fee
– One-time flat rate of $25 USD ($50 BZD) per stay
– Charged separately from room rate
– Not subject to BTB or GST taxes
– Applied to all bookings regardless of length of stay
3. Tax Structure
– BTB Tax (9%): Applies to room rate only
– GST (12.5%): Applies to room rate only
– All taxes are calculated and displayed separately on invoices
1. Reservation Deposit
– A deposit of 50% of the total room charges (including taxes) is required to confirm reservation
– Cleaning fee of $25 USD ($50 BZD) is collected separately at time of booking
– All charges must be paid via Stripe’s secure payment platform
– Payments accepted in USD or BZD at current exchange rate
2. Payment Breakdown
Room Charges:
– 50% room rate deposit (including BTB and GST)
– Remaining Balance will be charged upon check-in. Cash is accepted for the balance at time of check-in (delete 14 days before arrival) Cleaning fee is subject to 50% forfeiture for cancellations made after 72 hours prior to check-in
Cleaning Fee:
– Flat rate of $25 USD ($50 BZD) due at time of booking
– Non-refundable after 48 hours before check-in
3. Accepted Payment Methods
– Major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)
– Debit cards with credit card functionality
– Digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay) where supported by Stripe
– Balance can be paid in Cash at time of check-in
– Next to Currency and exchange rate please add $1.00 US currency is = $2.00 BZE Currency
4. Currency and Exchange Rates
– Payments can be made in USD or BZD
– Exchange rates are determined by Stripe’s current conversion rates
– Any currency conversion fees are the responsibility of the guest
– Tax calculations are made in BZD and converted if paying in USD
5. Security Deposits
– A refundable security deposit of $150 USD is required at check-in
– Security deposits are held via credit card authorization
– Funds are released within 7 business days after check-out, pending room inspection
– Security deposits are not subject to BTB or GST taxes
1. Standard Cancellation Terms
– Free cancellation for 72 hours in advance
– Cancellations after 72 hours in advance of check-in forfeit 50% of initial deposit
– Funds are released within 3-5 business days after check-out

1. Standard Refunds
– Room charges and cleaning fee refunded separately
– Processed through Stripe within 5-7 business days
– Refunded to original payment method
– Processing fees and paid taxes are non-refundable unless required by law

– Room rate: $100 BZD
– BTB Tax (9%): $9 BZD
– GST (12.5% on room rate): $12.50 BZD
Subtotal per night: $121.50 BZD
One-Time Cleaning Fee:
– Flat rate cleaning fee: $50 BZD (no additional taxes)
For a one-night stay:
Total: $171.50 BZD
For multiple nights, multiply room charges by number of nights and add one-time cleaning fee of $50 BZD.
